Impel College is committed to providing a high-quality educational experience. We will make sure that any complaint or concern which you bring to our attention is dealt with quickly. We want to make sure that your complaints are not ignored.
In the first instance, please talk to your teacher outside the class. Many issues can be resolved quickly and informally at this stage.
If you are not happy with this, then talk to Akanksha (International Student Support Assistant). You may also submit a formal written complaint to info@impelcollege.co.uk. Please include your full name, a clear description of the complaint, any supporting evidence, and the outcome you are seeking.
When a learner disagrees with the assessment/grade given they must explain the reasons for this to the assessor concerned, as soon as possible or within 10 working days of being notified of the assessment/grading decision. The assessor will provide a response within 5 working days.
If the learner is not satisfied with the Assessor’s response they must request that the appeal proceeds to Stage 2 by written letter and returning it to the assessor. The assessor will then forward the original assessment record and candidate evidence to the nominated Lead/Internal Verifier within 1 working day. The Lead/Internal Verifier will provide the learner with the reconsidered decision within 5 working days.
Where the learner remains unhappy with the decision made at Stage 2 they will have the right to forward their case to the Head of Department. The Head of Department will convene within 10 working days and communicate their decision both orally and in writing.
If the learner is still not happy with the outcome, he/she may talk to the Awarding Body or write to the Awarding Body. The learner will need to follow their complaints procedures. If not happy about the decision of the Awarding Body the learner may then raise their complaint to the relevant qualification regulator.
